This American Life: Ask An Iraqi

I really don't know what to say about this, other than it clearly illustrates how deluded we are as a nation. And I don't think to do with any evil on our part. It's more to do with our desire to do good. When our government, in our name, commits atrocities, we either have to rationalize it somehow, or we need to come to terms with the fact that we are involved in atrocity.

As the one young man said, "If I say that we're fighting for freedom, it feels better, in my mind."

The most moving part is in the second half, when a girl approaches him to personally apologize for the war.
